TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE DEFENCE POSTAL AND COURIER SERVICES BY FOSTERING ESPRIT DE CORPS AND COMRADESHIP, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF SOCIAL AND SPORTING ACTIVITIES AND TO ASSIST IN THE LONG-TERM MAINTENANCE OF THE OFFICERS' MESS, AND TO MAINTAIN A FUND TO AFFORD ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF GRANTS, DONATIONS, WEEKLY OR OTHER ALLOWANCES TO PAST OR PRESENT MEMBERS AND THEIR WIVES, WIDOWS, CHILDREN AND IMMEDIATE DEPENDANTS WHO MAY BE DESERVING OF HELP AND ARE IN DISTRESS THROUGH POVERTY.
