The Charity of John Plummer was founded by will in June 1729 and is now bound by the rules of the Charity Scheme dated Sept 1907. Under the provisions of the scheme, the Trustees have to apply the yearly income for the benefit of the poor persons resident in the Ancient Parish of Priddy and West Harptree in such a maner as the Trustees consider most advantageous to the recipients.
