TO AFFORD FELIEF AND ASSISTANCE TO: (I) MEMBERS OF THE CHAMBER WHO, FROM UNAVOIDABLE MISFORTUNE, MAY BE IN DISTRESSED CIRCUMSTANCES. (II) THE WIDOWS OR DEPENDENTS OF MEMBERS WHO MAY BE IN NEED. (III) ANY UNFORTUNATE TRADER WHOSE CASE MAY, IN THE OPINION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE FUND, HAVE A LEGITIMATE CLAIM UPON THE SYMPATHETIC CONSIDERATION OF THE CHAMBER.
