FOR THE BENEFIT OF SOLDIERS OF THE BERKSHIRE REGIMENT AND IF MARRIED SOLDIERS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THEIR WIVES AND FAMILIES OR OTHER RELATIVES USUALLY RESIDENT WITH THEM BUT PREFERABLY FOR THOSE EX SOLDIERS OF THE SAID REGIMENT WHO HAVE BECOME DISABLED BY WOUNDS OR FROM OTHER GOOD AND SUFFICIENT CAUSE FROM SERVICE IN THE REGIMENT EITHER TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY.
