TO ACQUIRE, PROVIDE, ERECT, EQUIP, FURNISH AND MAINTAIN HOMES FOR POOR PERSONS BEING AGED MARRIED COUPLES (AND SURVIVING SPOUSE ETC) ONE OF WHOM SHALL HAVE BEEN BORN WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF COVENTRY, AS EXISTING AT THE DATE OF THEIR ADMISSION OR HAVE RESIDED THERE FOR TEN YEARS PRECEEDING THEIR ADMISSION, AND TO PROVIDE SUCH PERSONS WITH HEAT, LIGHT, POWER, CLOTHING AND OTHER NECESSITIES.
