(1) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY AND ESPRIT DE CORPS OF THE ROYAL MARINES BY PAYING ALL OR ANY EXPENSES OF TATTOOS OR OTHER MILITARY DISPLAYS AND ENTERPRISES HELD IN THE UNIT AND HAVING AS THEIR SOLE OBJECT THE RAISING OF MONEY FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES (2) TO MAKE GRANTS TO SUCH CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS EITHER SERVICE OF CIVILIAN AS THE COMMANDING OFFICER MAY CONSIDER SUITABLE.
