THE ADVANCEMENT OF MUSICAL EDUCATION IN GENERAL AND IN PARTICULAR BY SPONSORING, MANAGING AND PROVIDING FINANCIAL OR OTHER ASSISTANCE FOR PERFORMANCES OF OPERATIC AND OTHER MUSICAL WORKS AT THE UNIVERSITIES OF OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE, ETON COLLEGE, WINCHESTER COLLEGE AND ELSEWHERE AND BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES IN SUCH PERFORMANCES FOR CONDUCTORS, SINGERS AND INSTRUMENTALISTS TO OBTAIN VALUABLE EXPERIENCE.
