THE PROMOTION AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC RELIGION IN ENGLAND AND WALES, INCLUDING AS ITS PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE THE UTILISATION OF THE INCOME AND CAPITAL RESOURCES OF THE SOCIETY TO MAKE DONATIONS TO THE ARCHDIOCESE OF WESTMINSTER IN AID OF THE EXPENDITURE REQUIRED FOR THE UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE OF ARCHBISHOP’S HOUSE. NOTWITHSTANDING THE GENERALITY OF SUB-CLAUSE 1.1, THE SOCIETY MAY ACCEPT BEQUESTS TO ITS FUNDS WHERE SUCH BEQUESTS SPECIFY ANOTHER PURPOSE OR PURPOSES, SO LONG AS THOSE PURPOSES ARE SUBSIDIARY TO A MAIN PURPOSE THAT CONFORMS WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SUB-CLAUSE 1.1.
