TO CATER FOR THE SOCIAL AND GENERAL WELFARE OF BLIND RESIDENTS IN THE BOROUGH OF NEWHAM, TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL AND OTHER ASSISTANCE IN NECESSITOUS CASES, TO ASSIST IN EFFORTS IN THE PREVENTION OF BLINDNESS AND TO CO-OPERATE WITH THE BOROUGH COUNCIL IN BLIND WELFARE WORK.
