Charitable objects
2 AIMS AND OBJECTIVES (A) TO PROMOTE THE SPIRITUAL TEACHING OF THE SIKH RELIGION AND THE MAINTENANCE OF THE DOCTRINES ON WHICH IT RESTS AND THE OBSERVATIONS THAT SERVE TO PROMOTE AND MANIFEST IT ESPECIALLY AMONGST THE SIKHS RESIDING IN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF LEICESTERSHIRE. (B) TO CELEBRATE THE MAIN SIKH FESTIVALS (C) TO TEACH THE CHILDREN GURMUKHI AND TO GIVE INSTRUCTIONS CONCERNING THE SIKH RELIGION (D) TO PERFORM MARRIAGES, DEATHS AND BIRTHDAYS CEREMONIES ACCORDING TO THE SIKH CUSTOM (E) TO RUN AND MAINTAIN A PUBLIC LIBRARY CONTAINING BOOKS ON THE SIKH HISTORY, RELIGION AND CULTURE. (F) TO PROVIDE RECREATIONAL AND OTHER LEISURE TIME FACILITIES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR YOUTHFUL MEMBERS OF THE SIKH COMMUNITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TRADITIONS OF THE SIKH RELIGION.
