1) IN ASSISTING BY GRANTS OF MONEY OR OTHER MEANS IN CASES OF FINANCIAL DISTRESS OR OTHER NECESSITOUS CIRCUMSTANCES PERSONS WHO ARE SERVING OR HAVE SERVED IN THE REGULAR, TERRITORIAL OR SERVICE BATTALIONS OF THE ROYAL FUSILIERS (CITY OF LONDON REGIMENT) OR THEIR WIVES, WIDOWS OR DEPENDANTS.2) IN MAKING GRANTS TO ANY CHARITY WHICH DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BENEFITS PERSONS QUALIFIED FOR ASSISTANCE AS AFORESAID WHETHER OR NOT THE OBJECTS THEREOF EXPRESSLY INCLUDE PROVISIONS FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH PERSONS.
