TO RELIEVE PATIENTS AND FORMER PATIENTS OF ELY HOSPITAL WHO ARE SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED, HANDICAPPED, INFIRM OR IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND GENERALLY TO SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE WORK OF THE HOSPITAL. (FOR FURTHER DETAILS SEE CLAUSE 3 OF CONSTITUTION).
