TO INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF ADDENBROOKE'S HOSPITAL IN THE CITY OF CAMBRIDGE (INCLUDING ANY OTHER HOSPITALS HOMES OR INSTITUTIONS ADMINISTERED IN CONNECTION OR IN ASSOCIATION FOR THE NURSING AND OTHER STAFF, AMENITIES FOR PATIENTS AND VISITORS AND FURTHERING MEDICAL DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH AND PROVIDING MAINTAINING AND EQUIPPING ANY BUILDINGS IN CIRCUMSTANCES UNDER WHICH PUBLIC FUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THE HOSPITAL AND BY PURCHASING OR LEASING ANY LAND FOR THE PURPOSE.
