Charitable objects

THE COUNCIL SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:- A) THE PROMOTION AND SAFEGUARDING OF SHECHITA IN GREAT BRITAIN B) PROVIDING A FORUM FOR ITS MEMBERS TO DISCUSS COMMON ISSUES RELATING TO, INTER ALIA, THE MARKET FOR KOSHER MEAT AND POULTRY, THE USE OF ABATTOIRS FOR SHECHITA, THE ENGAGEMENT OF STAFF AND THE LICENSING OF BUTCHERS AND FACTORIES C) SUCH OTHER MATTERS PERTAINING TO SHECHITA WHICH MAY ARISE FROM TIME TO TIME AND WHICH THE COUNCIL FEELS RELEVANT TO ITS ACTIVITIES.
