C) TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTION, DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. AREA OF BENEFIT BEING THE BOROUGH OF GLASTONBURY AND ANY PLACE WITHIN FIVE MILES OF THE CROSS AT GLASTONBURY.
