THE RELIEF OF THE AGED OR OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL OR PHYSICAL ILL HEALTH OR OF ANY OTHER PERSONS OF ALL AGES WHO ARE IN NECESSITOUS CIRCUMSTANCES AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TRUSTEES AND IN ANY MANNER WHICH NOW IS OR HEREAFTER MAY BE DEEMED BY LAW TO BE CHARITABLE PROVIDED THAT SUCH PERSONS SHALL BE RESIDENT OR HAVE THEIR HOME IN THE AREA OF JURISDICTION OF THE BRAINTREE DISTRICT COUNCIL.
