THE PROMOTION AND EXTENSION OF THE KNOWLEDGE AND STUDY OF AND THE CONDUCTING AND DISSEMINATION OF THE RESULTS OF RESEARCH AND OTHER SCIENTIFIC WORK IN THE FIELD OF AND THE RELIEF IN THE TREATMENT AND REHIBILITATION OF THOSE WHO ARE AFFLICTED BY DRUG ADDICTION OF ALL KINDS WHETHER OPIATES, BARBITURATES, NICOTINE, ALCOHOL OR OTHERWISE AND NEURAL AND OTHER DISORDERS WHICH MAY BE ASSOCIATED OR CONNECTED WITH SUCH ADDICTIONS AND OTHER FORMS OF SICKNESS AND ILLNESS AND THOSE WHO MAY NEED AID AND ASSISTANCE IN ANY WAY TO REHABILITATE THEMSELVES IN SOCIETY AFTER CONFINEMENT IN PRISON OR OTHER PENAL INSTITUTIONS AND BY THE PROVISION OF SUCH FACILITIES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DECIDE.
