Charitable objects
2. History and Objects 2.1 The National Schizophrenia Fellowship was founded for the benefit of people experiencing schizophrenia and related conditions and their carers. Over the years the Charity has evolved and now works to improve the lives of everyone severely affected by mental illness, including schizophrenia and psychosis, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety and personality disorder. To achieve this, the Objects are: (a) to improve the lives of people severely affected by mental illness and their families and carers through local support groups and services; (b) to provide expert advice, information and training to the public in the field of mental health and welfare, including influencing Government and decision makers more widely; and (c) to advance awareness and understanding as to the causes, consequences and management of mental illness, working to decrease the stigma surrounding it.
