Activities - how the charity spends its money
The Trust owns a collection of over 40,000 objects, documents and photographs chronicling the history of the King's Own Royal Regiment from its formation in 1680 to its amalgamation in 1959 with the Border Regiment to form the King's Own Royal Border Regiment. By agreement with the City Council of Lancaster, the collection is curated, stored, exhibited and managed by Lancaster City Museums.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ("THE OBJECTS") SHALL BE TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AND MEMBERS OF THE REGIMENT IN THE HISTORY AND MILITARY ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE REGIMENT AND TO PROMOTE MILITARY EFFICIENCY AND ENCOURAGE RECRUITMENT BY PUBLIC EXHIBITION OF THE COLLECTION IN A MUSEUM OR MUSEUMS OR SUCH OTHER PUBLIC PLACES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE, AND TO CONSERVE, RESTORE, REPAIR, RECONSTRUCT AND PRESERVE OBJECTS IN THE COLLECTION.
