Charitable objects
(1) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE BRITISH ARMY BY: (A) MAINTAINING CONTACT BETWEEN FORMER MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORPS AND THE ROYAL CORPS OF TRANSPORT (THE FORMER CORPS) AND FORMER AND SERVING MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL LOGISTIC CORPS (THE CORPS) WHO SERVED PREVIOUSLY IN THE ROYAL CORPS OF TRANSPORT, FOSTERING MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THEM AND PROVIDING FOR SOCIAL GATHERINGS FOR THEM; AND (B) FOSTERING ESPRIT DE CORPS, COMRADESHIP AND THE WELFARE OF THE CORPS AND PRESERVING ITS TRADITIONS AND THOSE OF THE FORMER CORPS. (2) TO RELIEVE EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION, FORMER MEMBERS OF THE FORMER CORPS AND FORMER AND SERVING MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL LOGISTIC CORPS WHO SERVED PREVIOUSLY IN THE ROYAL CORPS OF TRANSPORT, AND THEIR DEPENDANTS, WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS.
