Charitable objects
(A) TO PROMOTE SUCH EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AS ARE UNDER THE LAW OF ENGLAND CHARITABLE. (B) SO FAR ONLY AS IS CONSISTENT WITH THE OBJECT EXPRESSED IN CLAUSE (A) ABOVE: (I) TO RUN, MANAGE OR CONDUCT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AT MODERATE FEES AN EDUCATIONAL CENTRE FOR ENGLISH AND OVERSEAS STUDENTS OF A UNIVERSITY STANDARD WHICH WILL SPECIALISE IN MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE STUDIES; (II) TO ORGANISE LECTURES, TUTORIALS AND SEMINARS RELATING TO ANY ASPECT OF THE STUDY OF MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE STUDIES; (III) TO ASSEMBLE FOR USE BY THE PUBLIC A LIBRARY OF BOOKS RELATING TO THE STUDY OF MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE PERIODS; (IV) TO GIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE BY MEANS OF GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS OR OTHERWISE TO DESERVING PERSONS WISHING TO STUDY AT THE CENTRE FOR MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE STUDIES.
