TO CARRY OUT ANY ACT FOR THE PURPOSE OF SAVING LIFE OR PREVENTING INJURY FROM SHIPWRECK OR SEA CASUALTY OR DISTRESS OR FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING SAFETY AT SEA, IN PARTICULAR THE ESTABLISHMENT, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF RESCUE CRAFT AND A LIFE-SAVING STATION AT ANY PLACE IN THE BRITISH ISLES THE ASSOCIATION CONSIDERS APPROPRIATE TO THE OBJECTS OF THE ASSOCIATION.
