TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND THE RELIEF OF CHILDREN WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OR ARE PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY HANDICAPPED OR DEPRIVED, BY GRANTING SCHOLARSHIPS AND ASSISTANCE WHETHER FINANCIAL OR OTHERWISE TO ENABLE PEOPLE CONCERNED OR WORKING WITH SUCH CHILDREN TO TRAVEL TO AND SUBSIST IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENLARGING THEIR EXPERIENCE OF AND DEVELOPMENT IN SUCH FIELDS.
