TO DEVELOP AND TRAIN YOUNG PEOPLE OF ALL CLASSES IN HABITS OF DISCIPLINE, LOYALTY AND GOOD CITIZENSHIP AND TO PRESERVE THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE OF SCOUTING AS LAID DOWN BY THE FOUNDER, THE LATE LORD BADEN-POWELL, AND BASED ON THE LAW AND PROMISES GIVEN BY HIM IN 'SCOUTING FOR BOYS'.
