Charitable objects

TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF STEPNEY AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATION THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND/OR VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS, AND PARTICULARLY OF THOSE WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, OLD AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES, PROVIDED THAT NEVERTHELESS SUCH FACILITIES SHALL BE AVAILABLE TO ALL INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT IN GENERAL.
