TO PROMOTE, PROVIDE AND INCREASE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS WHICH COMPRISE PSYCHOTHERAPY AND THE EDUCATIONAL TRAINING AND COMPETENCE OF PSYCHOTHERAPISTS AND TO ADVANCE PSYCHOTHERAPY AS A PROFESSION IN ALL OR ANY OF ITS ASPECTS AND THEREBY TO RELIEVE MENTAL DISTRESS.
