THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND FOR THE PROVISION OR ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR THE INHABITANTS OF ANY PART OF THE UNITED KINGDOM FOR THE RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
