TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AND MEMBERS OF THE REGIMENTS (THE WHOLE OF THE SPECIAL AIR SERVICE REGIMENT, NAMELY 21ST SPECIAL AIR SERVICE, 22ND SPECIAL AIR SERVICE AND 23RD SPECIAL AIR SERVICE AND THE ARTISTS RIFLES REGIMENT) IN THE HISTORY AND MILITARY ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE REGIMENTS AND TO PROMOTE MILITARY EFFICIENCY AND ENCOURAGE RECRUITMENT BY PUBLIC EXHIBITION OF THE REGIMENTAL COLLECTION IN A MUSEUM OR MUSEUMS OR SUCH OTHER PUBLIC PLACES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE AND TO CONSERVE, RESTORE, REPAIR, RECONSTRUCT AND PRESERVE OBJECTS IN THE COLLECTION.
