(I) TO PROVIDE BY EMPLOYING SOLICITORS AND OTHER STAFF FREE LEGAL ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE TO POOR PERSONS RESIDENT OR WORKING IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HILLINGDON AND NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF. IN FURTHERANCE OF THIS OBJECT AND AS ANCILLARY THERETO THE CENTRE MAY INSTITUTE CONDUCT AND DEFEND ANY PROCEEDINGS BEFORE ANY COURT, COMMISSION, TRIBUNAL OR INQUIRY. (II) TO UNDERTAKE OR CO-OPERATE IN THE EDUCATION OF RESIDENTS OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HILLINGDON IN THE LAW AND ITS OPERATION AND OTHER MATTERS.
