Charitable objects

IN PROVIDING JUNIOR AND SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS TO BE KNOWN AS "THE BOSTOCK WHEELER SCHOLARSHIPS" AT DOVER COLLEGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS HEREINAFTER CONTAINED. (1) A BOSTOCK WHEELER SCHOLARSHIP SHALL ONLY BE AVAILABLE TO A BOY OR GIRL WHOSE MOTHER OR FATHER OR ADOPTIVE MOTHER OR FATHER OR ANY TWO OF THEM IS OR ARE DECEASED, SUCH PERSON HAVING BEEN A BRITISH CITIZEN AS DEFINED BY THE BRITISH NATIONALITY ACT 1981. (2) A JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP SHALL BE A COMPETITIVE ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP AND SHALL BE PAYABLE FOR A PERIOD OF UP TO FIVE YEARS. (3) A SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP SHALL BE PAYABLE FOR THREE YEARS OR AS OTHERWISE DETERMINED UNDER THE PROVISIONS HEREINAFTER CONTAINED AND SHALL BE TENABLE BY A BOY OR GIRL WHO - (I) HAS ATTENDED THE SIXTH FORM OF DOVER COLLEGE; AND (II) HAS BEEN A PREFECT OF THE SAID COLLEGE; AND (III) HAS BEEN A MEMBER OF THE FIRST TEAM OF THE SAID COLLEGE IN A MAJOR GAME AS FROM TIME TO TIME DEFINED BY THE MANAGING TRUSTEES; AND (IV) HAS BEEN AWARDED AND TAKEN UP A PLACE AT ANY UNIVERSITY WITHIN THE UNITED KINGDOM. (4) THE DURATION, VALUE, AND NUMBER OF SUCH SCHOLARSHIPS SHALL AT ANY TIME BE DETERMINED BY THE MANAGING TRUSTEES IN CONSULTATION WITH THE HEAD MASTER OR HEAD MISTRESS FOR THE TIME BEING OF DOVER COLLEGE HAVING REGARD TO THE FINANCIAL AND FAMILY CIRCUMSTANCES OF EACH CANDIDATE.
