Charitable objects
(I) TO ACQUIRE RESTORE AND PRESERVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AND (SO FAR AS IS REASONABLE) MAINTAIN IN WORKING ORDER THE NARROWBOAT "FORNAX" (BUILT BY THE GRAND UNION CANAL CARRYING COMPANY AS NO. 44) AND A WOODEN BUTTY (UNMOTORISED) BOAT OF THE GRAND UNION CANAL CARRYING COMPANY "STAR" CLASS AND OTHER SHIPS VESSELS NARROWBOATS OR BARGES (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS "THE BOATS") AND TO OPERATE THE BOATS ON THE WATERWAYS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM IN THE FULLEST CO-OPERATION WITH MUSEUMS AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS. (II) TO PROMOTE FACILITATE AND UNDER TAKE THE COLLECTION OF MATERIAL CONCERNING THE HISTORY OF THE TRANSPORT SYSTEM OF THE UNITED KINGDON AND, IN PARTICULAR, THAT WHICH RELATES TO WATERWAYS.
