TO PROMOTE THE REHABILITATION AND PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH OF PERSONS WHO HAVE AT ANY TIME BEEN THE VICTIMS OF TORTURE OR WHO HAVE SUFFERED ANY FORM OF CRUEL INHUMAN OF DEGARDING TREATMENT AND OF THEIR FAMILIES AND TO RELIEVE THE POVERTY OF SUCH PERSONS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN PARTICULAR BY ASSISTING FINANCIALLY OR OTHERWISE THE WORK OF THE "INTERNATIONAL REHABILITATION AND RESEARCH CENTRE FOR TORTURE VICTIMS" AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL COPENHAGEN.
