TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN SUDDEN AND UNEXPLAINED INFANT DEATHS GENERALLY KNOWN AS 'COT DEATH' AND TO ADVANCE AND ASSIST IN ADVANCING STUDY AND RESEARCH INTO 'COT DEATH' AND THE FIELD OF INFANT HEALTH GENERALLY. 2. TO PROTECT AND OBSERVE THE HEALTH OF PARENTS AFFECTED BY THE DEATH OF THEIR CHILD FROM THE SYNDROME KNOWN AS 'COT DEATH' AND WHERE NECESSARY TO RELIEVE OR ASSIST IN RELIEVING ANY MENTAL OR PHYSICAL ILLNESS SUFFERED AS A RESULT THEREOF.
