Charitable objects
TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THOSE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SHALL HAVE SERVED DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR IN ANY OF HIS MAJESTY'S FORCES OR IN THE MERCHANT SERVICE AND WHO IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO SUCH SERVICE WERE RESIDENT IN CHIGWELL, ESSEX AND SHALL BE IN NECESSITOUS CIRCUMSTANCES OR SUFFERING HARDSHIP AS A DIRECT RESULT OF SUCH SERVICE.
