FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLES OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA AND/OR THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND (WHETHER GENERALLY OR IN RESPECT OF ANY PARTICULAR GROUP OR SECTION WITHIN EITHER OR BOTH NATIONS) BY PROMOTING THE EDUCATION OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA AND/OR THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND IN HISTORY ART AND LITERATURE AND BY PRESERVING THE INDIGENOUS ART AND CULTURA AND NATURAL HERITAGE OF INDIA OF IMPORTANCE TO THE HERITAGE OF MANKIND INCLUDING HISTORIC BUILDINGS AND MONUMENTS (BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE INDIA).
