TO PROMOTE ALL OR ANY PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF CLAPHAM AND ITS IMMEDIATE VICINITY WHICH ARE NOW OR HEREINAFTER MAY BE DEEMED BY LAW TO BE CHARITABLE AND IN PARTICULAR THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, DISTRESS AND SICKNESS, THE FURTHERANCE OF HEALTH AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND THE PROVISION OF FACILITIEA IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECCREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.
