Charitable objects

TO RELIEVE THE INHABITANTS OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK, PARTICULARLY THOSE OF VIETNAMESE-CHINESE ORIGIN OR DESCENT, WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS: (1) BY THE PROVISION OF ADVICE AND CONSELLING ON SUCH MATTERS IN HOUSING, IMMIGRATION, EMPLOYMENT, HEALTH, WELFARE RIGHTS AND SIMILAR PROBLEMS (2) BY THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION THROUGH THE PROVISION OF MOTHER TONGUE AND ENGLISH CLASSES AND TRAINING SKILLS TO ENABLE SUCH PERSONS TO OBTAIN GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT (3) BY THE PROVISION OF RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY TO THE AGED (4) BY THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN THE HISTORY, CULTURE AND RELIGION OF VIETNAM AND CHINA
