RULES ADOPTED 23 MARCH 1988 AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTIONS MADE UNDER SECTION 74(2) OF THE CHARITIES ACT 1993, AND 19 APRIL 2001 AND 18 JANUARY 2006.
Charitable objects
A LOAN SHALL BE GRANTED: (1) (EXCEPT IN UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES) ONLY TO PERSONS WHO HAVE BEEN REGISTERED STUDENTS OF THE RCM FOR AT LEAST ONE YEAR PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE APPLICATION AND, IN THE CASE OF FORMER STUDENTS, WHOSE SUBSCRIPTIONS TO THE SOCIETY SHALL NOT BE IN ARREARS EITHER AT THE DATE OF THE APPLICATION OR AT ANY SUBSEQUENT TIME BEFORE THE LOAN IS MADE. (2) ONLY TO ENABLE APPLICANTS TO PURCHASE A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT OR FOR SUCH OTHER PURPOSES AS SHALL BE SPECIFICALLY APPROVED BY THE GENERAL COMMITTEE.
