“FOR THE PURPOSE OF (1) ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH: (A) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; (B) PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. (2) THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF BOREHAMWOOD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OR ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PARTICIPATION IN BOXING, ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL, NETBALL, BASKETBALL AND SUCH OTHER SPORTS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE.”
