TO PROVIDE ADVICE, INFORMATION, COUNSELLING AND SUPPORT (WHICH SHALL INCLUDE ANY APPROPRIATE THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION) FOR PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM OR CONCERNED WITH THE EFFECT, ADDICTION OR DEPENDENCY ON (INTER ALIA) SOLVENTS, ALCOHOL, TRANQUILLISERS, OPIATES OR OTHER ILLICIT DRUGS AND SUBSTANCES OF MISUSE FOR THE RELIEF OF DISTRESS AND SICKNESS CAUSED THEREBY. ALSO THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF PEOPLE IN THE COUNTY BOROUGH OF RHONDDA CYNON TAFF OR WHEREVER.
