Charitable objects
PURPOSES OF A DAY OR BOARDING SCHOOL FOR BOYS AND GIRLS IN OR NEAR THE BOROUGH OF BLANDFORD SCHOOL FOR BOYS. SPECIAL BENEFITS FOR SUCH SCHOOL MAY BE APPLIED, IF THE GOVERNORS THINK FIT, AND THE RESIDUAL INCOME SHALL BE APPLIED IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS:- 1) AWARD TO BENEFICIARIES OF SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TENABLE AT ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OR OTHER PLACE OF LEARNING. 2) PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, OUTFITS, CLOTHING, TOOLS, BOOKS, OR INSTRUMENTS TO ENABLE BENEFICIARIES ON LEAVING AN EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT TO ENTER A PROFESSION, TRADE OR CALLING. 3) AWARD OF SCHOLARSHIPS OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE TO ENABLE BENEFICIARIES TO TRAVEL ABROAD TO PURSUE THEIR EDUCATION. 4) PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR THE RECREATION AND SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING FOR BENEFICIARIES WHO ARE RECEIVING PRIMARY, SECONDARY OR FURTHER EDUCATION. 5) PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO BENEFICIARIES TO STUDY MUSIC OR OTHER ARTS. (THE TERM "BENEFICIARIES" MEANS YOUNG PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 25 YEARS, IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, WHO ARE ABOUT TO ATTEND, ARE ATTENDING OR HAVE ATTENDED BLANDFORD GRAMMAR SCHOOL FOR NOT LESS THAN 2 YEARS).
