Charitable objects

2.1 The objects for which the Charity is established are restricted specifically for the public benefit, to advance the education (including early years education) of people in Dorset in such ways as the Charity Trustees think fit, including by: (a) providing and assisting in the provision of premises and facilities; (b) awarding scholarships; (c) awarding maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any university, college or institution of higher or further education; (d) supporting individuals in the study of the full range of curriculum subjects, including enrichment subjects and sport and/or in undertaking travel in furtherance of their education or to prepare for entry to any occupation, trade or profession or leaving an educational establishment; and (e) supporting the provision of education to meet a range of children’s particular needs. 2.2 Nothing in these Articles shall authorise an application of the property of the Charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with any statutory provision regarding the meaning of the word "charitable" or the words "charitable purposes" in force in any part of the United Kingdom.
