Charitable objects
THE CHARITY'S OBJECT (THE OBJECT) IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF GIRLS (AND AT THE DIRECTORSã DISCRETION, BOYS) UNDER THE AGE OF 25 WHO ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE (BENEFICIARIES), IN PARTICULAR THROUGH ANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: (1) GIVING GRANTS, BURSARIES OR OTHER PAYMENTS TO BENEFICIARIES (OR TO EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS ATTENDED BY SUCH BENEFICIARIES) TO ENABLE THEM TO ATTEND, OR TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF THE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE AT, ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, OR OTHER INSTITUTION OF FURTHER (INCLUDING PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL) EDUCATION APPROVED FOR THE PURPOSE BY THE DIRECTORS; (2) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, OUTFITS, CLOTHING, TOOLS, INSTRUMENTS OR BOOKS TO ASSIST THEM TO PURSUE THEIR EDUCATION (INCLUDING THE STUDY OF MUSIC AND OTHER ARTS), TO UNDERTAKE TRAVEL IN FURTHERANCE THEREOF, OR TO PREPARE FOR OR ENTER A PROFESSION, TRADE, OCCUPATION OR SERVICE ON LEAVING SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT; (3) THE PROVISION, MAINTENANCE AND OR SUPPORT OF A SCHOOL OR SCHOOLS ATTENDED BY BENEFICIARIES. WHEN APPLYING THE CHARITYãS INCOME PREFERENCE MAY BE GIVEN TO BENEFICIARIES WHO ARE IN A PUBLIC EXAMINATION YEAR AND/OR WHO HAVE SUFFERED AN UNEXPECTED SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES.
