TO ALLEVIATE THE HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS OF CHILDREN RESIDENT IN WEST HERTFORDSHIRE AND SURROUNDS CAUSED BY THE BREAK-UP OF MARRIAGE AND FAMILY AND TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH OF SUCH CHILDREN BY PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING A CENTRE AND FACILITIES WHEREAT SUCH CHILDREN CAN MORE READILY ENJOY THE COMPANY AND LOVE OF THE PARENT WITH WHOM THEY DO NOT NORMALLY RESIDE AND OF OTHER MEMBERS OF THEIR FAMILY AS MAY BE APPROPRIATE
