[1] TO OFFER RELIEF TO THE POOR AND DISADVANTAGED IN THE LONDON BOROUGHS OF REDBRIDGE, NEWHAM, HAVERING AND BARKING AND DAGENHAM, ESPECIALLY AMONG THE BLACK AND MINORITY ETHNIC GROUPS, THE HOMELESS, THE DISABLED AND THE LONG-TERM UNEMPLOYED, WHERE SOCIAL EXCLUSION IS ACUTE, BY THE PROVISION OF FREE LEGAL ADVICE, ASSISTANCE AND REPRESENTATION IN THE COURTS AND EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNAL WHICH HELPS THEM TO SECURE THEIR RIGHTS UNDER THE LAW. [2] THE RELIEF OF PEOPLE LIVING IN THE LONDON BOROUGHS OF REDBRIDGE, NEWHAM, HAVERING, BARKING AND DAGENHAM, BY COUNSELLING THEM ABOUT THEIR LEGAL RIGHTS IN RESPECT OF CONSUMER LAW, HOUSING LAW, INCLUDING MORTGAGE REPOSSESSIONS, EMPLOYMENT LAW, SOCIAL SECURITY LAW AND FAMILY LAW.
