CONSTITUTION DATED OCTOBER 1963 AS AMENDED 18TH NOVEMBER 1987 AND 27TH MAY 1993

Charitable objects

(1) TO ACT IN AN ADVISORY CAPACITY TO THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITIES AND THE UNIVERSITIES OF THE REGION INCLUDING THE COUNTIES OF BERKSHIRE, DORSET, HAMPSHIRE, ISLE OF WIGHT, OXFORDSHIRE, WEST SUSSEX, WILTSHIRE AND THE COUNTY BOROUGHS WITHIN THOSE COUNTIES, AND WIL BE COMPETENT IN THIS CAPACITY TO CONSIDER ALL FORMS OF FURTHER EDUCATION. (2) TO ESTABLISH A REGIONAL ACADEMIC BOARD COMPETENT TO ADVISE UPON TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION AND THOSE OTHER FORMS OF FURTHER EDUCATION WHICH THE COUNCIL MAY DETERMINE FROM TIME TO TIME.
