PROMOTION OF SCHOOL AND SPECIAL AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS. IF AND SO FAR AS IN THE OPINION OF THE GOVERNORS THE SAID NET INCOME CANNOT IN ANY YEAR BE SUITABLE AND EFFECTIVELY APPLIED AS AFORESAID THE GOVERNORS MAY APPLY THE INCOME TOWARDS THE MAINTENANCE OF THE ALMSHOUSES OF THE KING'S CLIFFE ALMSHOUSE CHARITY PROVIDED THAT AMOUNT SO APPLIED DOES NOT EXCEED ONE HALF OF THE GROSS INCOME FOR SUCH YEAR.
