Activities - how the charity spends its money
Advancement of education in the fields of Archaeology, literature, science and art amongst the inhabitants of Glastonbury. We own the site of the Glastonbury Lake Village. We own a large number of artefacts which are displayed in the Society's museum and other museums including the British Museum. We have a Library of books of local antiquarian interest plus a programme of lectures/visits.

THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN THE FIELDS OF ARCHAEOLOGY, LITERATURE, SCIENCE AND ART AMONGST THE INHABITANTS OF GLASTONBURY AND IN FURTHERANCE THEREOF TO MAINTAIN A COLLECTION OF ARTICLES FROM THE GLASTONBURY LAKE VILLAGE AND ELSEWHERE; THE PROPER CARE AND PROTECTION OF SUCH ARTICLES, AND THE MAINTENANCE OF A COLLECTION OF BOOKS OF LOCAL ANTIQUARIAN INTEREST.
