TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE DISTRICT OF SANDWELL AND ITS IMMEDIATE AREA WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION OF SEX OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING WITH THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND THE SAID INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND RELIEF OF POVERTY AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS TO RELIEVE POVERTY ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND ASSIST IN THE PROMOTION AND PRESERVATION OF GOOD HEALTH OF PERSONS WHO LIVE IN THE CARIBBEAN COUNTRIES
