TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE MANOR/CASTLE ESTATE IN THE CITY IF SHEFFIELD BY THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF GOOD HEALTH, REDUCING LEVELS OF CRIME AND THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR THE RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF SUCH PERSONS IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE IN ORDER THAT THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED.
